A Bit About Each Project

V6 ENGINE ASSEMBLY
I'm more of a 2 wheeled vehicle enthusiast, but knowing how your engine works is a must regardless of your number of wheels! This assembly contains more than 50 components. Everything from the springs and bushings to the camshaft were CAD'd using to-scale ISO dimensions. I based the design of this engine off of a 90 degree V6 configuration (similar to the Bowtie Chevy 90 Degree V6 Block). Mating the assembly to exhibit the correct behaviour was among one of the greatest challenges with this design.

Tool Highlights
- surfacing (extend, sweep, trim, curve forming, etc.)
-
sketching from sketch pictures (i.e. blueprints)
WIND TURBINE
This was a great start foray into surfacing. It was a great visual for my Iqaluit wind energy plant design as well.

SCOTCH YOKE ASSEMBLY
The scotch-yoke is extremely useful as a rotational to linear motion translation mechanism. It's simply part configuration was my introduction into CAD assembly and drawings. Every detail was measured of a physical scotch-yoke and then CAD'd as shown here.
